A beautiful Saturday was met with 13 shooters on the line in sunny Las Vegas. We peaked at a balmy 63 degrees in the afternoon as we shot the first of our AQTs.
We had two Riflemen among us at the end of the day. Congratulations to Devin and David!

Sunday had a foreboding weather forecast. A large winter storm was coming in the western states with the Sierra Nevada expecting 6 feet of snow.
With some finagling, we were able to secure a covered range as other matches were cancelled for rain.
The morning started off in high spirits. Off in the distance menacing black skies loomed over Red Rock National Park.
The storm was late as we went through our review and instruction.
The rain started as we set off on our first AQT of the day.

As the afternoon wore on, rain turned into hail which turned into snow.
Our 11 shooter line dwindled to one student shooting the final redcoat of the weekend.

Nate not only shot that redcoat, he also shot the most AQTs of the weekend.
He ended the weekend with 2 points short of a patch
but Riflemen persist and Nate's character was showing.

We all ended up wet, tired, and happy.
Thanks to all that came out.

Now onto a momentous occasion!
Nevada has its first new Redhat in over a decade!
Congratulations to Gasguy and big thanks to his dedication and commitment to the program.
Gasguy has been a huge help and we welcome him to the cadre.

See you next year!
