We had an amazing time at the Sportsman's Club of Battle Creek this past weekend!  We had eight shooters come to the line on Saturday morning in spite of the threat of rain and chill.  I could not have asked for a better, more enthusiastic group of shooters.  It was a joy to work with them on the line.

Congratulations to Jack and to Josh on scoring rifleman.  Jack scored a 214 for his first qualifying score and then backed that score up with a 220, 214, and 216.  Well done, sir!  Josh, got baptised with the water from under the North Bridge after scoring a 210 on the final AQT of the weekend.  Well done!

Congratulations also to Dread Pirate Beebop and Icychicken for successfully completing IIT progress checks.  Well done to both of you.

I have to note the significant effort put forth by all our shooters.  All our shooters made significant progress in their AQT scores and did not give up in spite of the deluge we got on Sunday afternoon.  (Many thanks to Tom for thoughtfully providing a couple of 10x20 canopies to cover the shooters and equipment on the firing line and to everyone who brought EZ-ups to cover the are behind the equipment line.  You all kept us relatively dry.)  To all of the shooters I would simply say that you are on the road to scoring rifleman.  Hang in there and keep at it!  A rifleman persists.

Many thanks to the club for hosting  the event.  Without your gracious support we could not have the program we have.  Thank you, also to my instructors for their dedication and willingness to spend a weekend away from home and family to make the event happen.  Thank you all!
