Please join me in congratulating Big John in his promotion to Shoot Boss! 

John has been involved in Appleseed for about a decade and many of us have had the pleasure to work shoots with him in the Great Lakes Region.  While his travels as an instructor have taken him to ranges in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and throughout Indiana; he has been most active at his home location of Red Brush Rifle Range near Evansville.  His work at Red Brush has helped embed the program there leading to hundreds of people hearing the story of April 19 and dozens earning their patches.   

So thank you for all that you have done for the program and the country and everything you will do as a Shoot Boss! :beer:

Congrats Big John! Thanks for doing the work to get the Green Hat. We can only add shoots and ranges when there are green hats to run 'em. I hope to have the chance to do a shoot up your way soon!

Thanks all. We're light on the ground here in this corner of the state, so I wanted to get our local crew more staffing flexibility and enable sur+rifle to do more on the instruction side. It's good to move duties around to learn from others' methods.
