What a great weekend! Fourteen students, two sunny days, and more than a little bit of west Texas wind combined to make a fun, and sometimes challenging event. We always ask the students to bring a "teachable attitude" and this bunch certainly took that to heart. They were eager to learn, attentive, and ready to work! Stories were told and a tear or two shed, teachers taught, coaches coached, and students learned.

It was a good mixture of students with a wide variety of shooting experience. And it's always great to see families at Appleseed - we had fathers and children, husbands and wives, grandpas and grandkids.

We saw great improvement in marksmanship from everyone, and by Sunday afternoon had three new Riflemen and one requalification! Congrats to Gavin, Shane, and Brian (it's always fun when a teenager makes Rifleman), and to re-qualifier Joshua.

Many thanks to all the instructors, especially the new Orange Hats - everyone hit the ground running and did a great job! And the biggest thanks go to the students - we are honored to work with you.

Steeeeerrrriiiike one!

First "Hits Count" target, and an interesting interpretation of the prone position:

And that interpretation seems to work - one shot from a clean target to start the day!

Congratulations Brian!

Congratulations Gavin!

And congratulations Shane!
