What a great weekend for liberty! Beautiful weather. Students soaking up the instruction and applying it to improve their shooting. Instructors eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for history. Pride in being free Americans was abounding.

There were several high points. Many new and requalified Riflemen were observed. Saturday Stephen requalified with the high score for the weekend (238, which he also shot on Sunday). Dan, Nestor, and Dmitry also requalified. Nolan shot an impressive 235, at this his first Appleseed. Sunday Bob scored at his fourth event. The ice breaker was switching from a bolt gun to a semi-auto.

Kevin attended Sunday and also requalified. He's been to many of our events and finally asked for an Orange hat last month at the Myakka KD. We made it official Sunday. Welcome Trident, our newest IIT.

Seven Riflemen, two of them new, out of fourteen shooters was pretty exciting. Two shooters scored Marksman and two scored Sharpshooter. Connor, age 14, was only able to attend Saturday. He shows great promise and we hope to see him again on the line. Lucy, age 16, had an infectiously positive attitude. The other note about Lucy was her adaption of the "prone seated position." Some call it "Monkey-Prone." Amazing!

Thanks to Ghost4766, LisaLisa, Malabar, SWOFO, and Sieggie for their dedicated performance. Also, we are grateful for the continued support of the Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club.

All-in-all this was a safe and productive event.
