Wow what a great weekend with great people.  12 Great Americans drove as far south as possible in the state of Florida to come to an Appleseed at the Homestead Training Center. Our day started at 8:30 with a looming threat of rain and thunderstorms.   Knowing this we pushed hard to get all the practice in we could and it paid off.  Yes it was hot and Yes it was hard but everybody did great. By the end of the day the severe weather was upon us and we had to end a little early. We still finished one AQT and all but 6 shooters were able to make scores above 124.  One person Mike, turned in a 211 on his first AQT.   Outstanding work.  Patches had to wait as the weather forced us to evacuate.

Day two had a little catch up to do. Our morning started with the 3rd strike of the match. Great way to start our morning. Then we dove into marksmanship with our morning redcoat. We were not able to shoot one in the afternoon on day one so our shooters made up for it on day two. We went from nobody putting three rounds in the 400 yard target to 4 shooters accomplishing it on day two and one young lady clearing the target. "Shoot like a girl, IF YOU CAN!"

Rain threatened us according to the weather report on Sunday but never showed up. Our shooters completed several AQTs by the end of the weekend with all showing great improvement.

Special shout outs to Carlos who showed that the Rifleman patch he was issued some time ago was no fluke and turned in two AQTs with scores over 210. And to Mike with the high score this weekend of 228 two times.
And our very own Wendy who got her 25 shoot pin this weekend.

Outstanding work.

Look forward to seeing all of you on our lines again soon.

Sorry I did not get pictures of everybody but here are a few from the weekend.

Not Sure

Great thanks and congratulations to the South Florida team for putting on another excellent event.  Yes, it was hot at times and tiring at others, but thanks to Denise and the brownies, the spirits and scores remained high.  Never underestimate the power of a good brownie.

This was my third 25m Appleseed and the instructors did an excellent job of introducing new parts of the history of April 19, 1775.  It never gets old.  They also brought a rapid AQT to the mix to bring some additional excitement and focus to the shooters on the firing line.  The whole team truly deserves a huge round of applause!

Hopefully, I'll see you all at the Pistol Clinic in Hollywood in about two weeks.

Loved this event, and can't wait for Saturday.  The pistol clinic is gonna be a great time, with even greater folks!  Huzzah!  There is no bigger compliment than what you gave here.  Thank you for that.  Please consider joining our band of merry misfits!  Would love to have you on the team!
