Appleseed school discussion and a proud parent.
« on: September 20, 2021, 04:27:47 PM »
You know you can be proud of your parenting skills when your 16 year old daughter is in US History class and they are discussing the battle of Lexington.........The teacher says we don't know who fired the first shot and your daughter says......."We have a pretty good idea, and proceeds to explain that Col Parkers militia was disbursing for one and besides, the Americans were riflemen, if they had fired there would have been some dead regulars."  The teacher stops for a second and is surprised, then shrugs and says "I guess that's possible"

I am told that under her breath she said to herself......."I shot a couple 200's at the Appleseed last week and next time I'll be a rifleman my ownself." LOL
Anticipate the difficult by managing the easy.

Sweet ;D
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
