It was a wonderful weekend for History and Marksmanship at Knob Creek Range. HikerMatt started the event off with a riveting telling of the First Strike, setting the tone for the day. Eleven shooters soaked up the instruction and history in the oppressive heat. The pace of the shoot slowed a bit due to that heat. Day one ended with Neal requalifying with a 215. Not to be outdone, Sunday Josh shot a commanding 222 with iron sights and Adam cooled off in the cold water from the North Bridge after achieving a 210 score. Several other shooters were achieving scores in the 200s. Remember, a rifleman persists and I hope to see each of you back on the line soon.

Many thanks to OP78, HikerMatt, and ArmyVet for the dedication and hard work they put in this weekend to make it a successful event.

What a GREAT group of shooters! Their teachable attitude made our job very easy. Some would have folded under the oppressive heat, but this group hung in there the entire time! I also hope to see each of you all on the line again.
The difference between a novice and a master: the novice does it until they get it right. The master does it until they can't get it wrong.
