Appleseeders are a resourceful bunch.  When circumstances forced Ohio to postpone their much anticipated two-day IBC to later in the year, they followed the example of their Michigan neighbors and scheduled a few one-day mini-IBCs in its place.  The first of those was held on Sunday, March 14 in New Philadelphia.

Seven IITs joined a skeleton instructor crew for a crash course in the "ways of Appleseed" and in standard blocks of instruction.  We covered verbatim material, sling use, positions, six steps, and IMC.  There was only time for breakout practice sessions on about the first half of the material, but the group took copious notes on the remaining blocks.  Everyone was enthusiastic and dove into the demonstrations head first.  There was also a history exercise over lunch where everyone presented a DOM/DOW they had prepared in advance.  If this group is any indication, Ohio is going to have another stellar year!
