For the second year in a row we were fortunate to be able to hold our Alabama IBC in the ballroom at the Bullet & Barrel indoor range.  B&B is Alabama's only 5-star range and we are grateful that they have been supportive of our programs.  Their ballroom is absolutely gorgeous and the weather cooperated so we were able to use their courtyard for our small group sessions.  We are definitely spoiled.   :)

On Saturday morning we talked about expectations of an Appleseed instructor then dived right into safety as our first block of instruction for practice.  All of the instructors worked diligently as we continued through the blocks and everyone had an opportunity to brush up on their skills.  The history presentations and coaching segments on Sunday are always a favorite part of the weekend.

Orange Hats happydad and PeaceAndLove made great progress and SciFi showed she has what it takes to hold her own among this group.  O0

Two folks traveled a long distance to join us for the weekend:  Captain came in from Colorado and Charley visited from Ohio.  Spending time with Appleseeders from other parts of the country is always a special opportunity for fellowship and learning.  Thanks for joining us!

Thanks to everyone who spent their weekend becoming even more awesome Appleseeders.  My special thanks to Maximum Ordinate and EddieB who did a lot of the heavy lifting.  AH1Tom and Mixed Metaphor handled the other half of the load.  You guys make my job easy.

It was a great weekend. It's always good to get an update on the latest policy's and teaching methods. Enjoyed meeting the visitors from other areas.

Captain

This was a really great Appleseed weekend! Many thanks to Google for doing the all the work and preparation necessary to pull off such a successful and enjoyable event. Also thanks to EddieB for your excellent examples for instruction and Maximum Ordinate for sharing the latest goings on from the National Appleseed world. It was also a special pleasure seeing a soon-to-be new orange hat standing up in front of a crowd adults and doing a great job - Huzzah!

I did manage to grab a couple of photos . . .

While the days were full of activities to help us all become better instructors, there was still a chance to enjoy some time relaxing and getting to know fellow Appleseeders. The Alabama crew shared what I understand to be a Northern Alabama tradition - BBQ from a gas station! Nice tradition!

Overall, it was just a great weekend - thanks again to everyone who participated and made it all possible.
