Another great weekend in the Sunshine State for History, Heritage and Marksmanship!

We had 15 shooters weekend, 7 of those were youth! Many families and friends spending their time together with us this past weekend. I couldn't be happier as all of our participants were safe, engaged, and learned things about themselves, their history, and marksmanship.

Despite the threat of inclement weather forecast, we were blessed with near perfect weather on Saturday. Sunday morning the weather did move in and delayed us by about an hour. After the hazardous weather moved away from the area we got underway and had no significant effect on our schedule for the day completing 4 AQTs by the end of the day. Scores were on the rise. You could certainly see the efforts put in were paying off.

We had several previous participants come and show off their skills by re-qualifying both on Saturday and Sunday! Huzzah!

Our younger students were definitely making improvements. By the end of the weekend the preponderance were out of boot camp and reaching the threshold of the Rifleman door! With scores in the 180's. A few were knocking on that door with scores in the low 200's. On our Red Coat at the end of the day Sunday we definitely saw the improvement with three shooters clearing it!

I was honored to be amongst these patriots this weekend and look forward to seeing them again.

Not Sure

Well done and well said.  180s is a great score range.  It leaves room for improvement, but lets everyone know that they are so close.  Sometimes it's a tweak of the equipment, but it really comes down to focusing on the fundamentals and eliminating a few mistakes to make the difference.  Congrats to all!
