Friday range set up was miserable, but the range was prepared, and we were ready for shooters Saturday.  6 students showed for Saturday, and 4 returned for Sunday. The weather was a challenge, with cold, wind, and wet ground, but those that were there persevered, and everyone showed improvement. There was a new appreciation for the
trials our forefathers went through!

The range as set up. I simply cannot thank the Quarryville cadre enough for the teamwork and esprit-de-corps!

Jonathon with the first of 2 RIFLEMAN re-quals. The man is simply a rifle shooting BEAST. He did it this time, with a bolt gun, just for kicks.
Oh, and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!
Well done!

Jonathon with his 2nd. RIFLEMAN re-qual. He also was the only shooter to clear the redcoat target, and EARN  the PA 1st. rifle regiment patch!
DOMARI NOLO!

The sunday group.
Inside each student is a RIFLEMAN yearning to emerge!

Connor with the coveted RIFLEMAN patch. He was nervous about qualifying, but did so in magnificent fashion. Notice the score. No north bridge water for this RIFLEMAN.

Standing portion of the AQT. Jonathon is already done and prepping mags for sitting!

Kathleen standing and delivering accurate rifle fire from a modern musket! No rimfires for her, she was serious, and showed up with a can-do attitude. She is on the cusp of earning the coveted RIFLEMAN patch!

This is Nicole. We should all shoot standing as well as she demonstrates. Support elbow under the rifle, support hand relaxed, sling tight, C-shape on the trigger, and she has the flexibility to put her hips forward, and get her support arm locked into her side. She did very well standing, and she is another one on the cusp of RIFLEMAN. She had the accuracy, but the speed is coming....
Oh, by the way, she hadn't touched a rifle for YEARS before coming to this APPLESEED, yet she's right up there with her scores. Very well done, Nicole!
