We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

:F This past weekend I was honored to lead Project Appleseed's first-ever Known Distance event at the Goin' Firearms and Shooting range in North Texas.  Sincere thanks to Tumbleweed for helping to share in this effort, as well as to our multiple Project Appleseed volunteers that were on the line & willing to help.  Project Appleseed invests in our instructors!  Several shooters came from out of state - one of our instructors was from Kansas, with a 4.5 hour drive - THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WORK WITH US  O0

Shooters took their rifles (all AR-15s this time) out to distances between 100-400 yards, while performing courses of fire under aggressive time limits, with magazine changes.  Despite the difficulty, four of our seven shooters earned the coveted title of Known Distance Rifleman - with everyone being challenged with new ways to grow.  One person even qualified as a DISTINGUISHED Known Distance Rifleman, with an amazing 48 of 50 points!   :snipersmi Between events we covered some exciting history lessons, with practical application to our lives today.

Shooters had a near-zero wind call on day 01, perfect for focusing on bullet drops.  After learning how to leverage their rifle sights to estimate range, the Texas weather decided to pick up a bit and drive home the understanding of how wind can impact shot placement.

We were among the very first to try out the new Captain Morgan shingle, where participants could attempt to engage a 9"x12" target from 250 yards - with one. single. shot.  An amazing 5 of 7 people connected!  We're looking forward to hosting a similar event in Spring 2021.  If interested, be certain to attend at least one of our 25-yard events first - the skills learned there are definite pre-requisites to this fun & challenging event.
