Locking a bolt in a .22LR AR-15 upper

Having a dedicated .22LR upper and a CMMG conversion, I wanted a way to lock my bolt back on my AR when running .22LR.  Closing the bolt on my chamber flag was not my favorite option.  Researching this issue I found the AR-Catch22  (https://arcatch22.com/).  This device replaces the bolt catch on your lower receiver and with the right magazines even locks back after your last round.  Having a dedicated lower with this device solves the problem.  However, being a particularly frugal (read that-cheap as hell!) ancient flatulence, I did not want to dedicate a lower to the service of .22LR.  Some months back, I contacted the maker of the AR Catch22.  We had a pleasant exchange of emails and I was advised to keep watch in the near future for a different device from his company.  Lo and behold! It has arrived!  He has introduced the Catch22 V2 Bolt Latch.  This device slides over your existing centerfire bolt latch WITH NO TOOLS!!!!.  It removes WITH NO TOOLS!!!!!  I found it intuitive enough that I put it on correctly BEFORE I noticed it came with directions........

I have procured one using my own hard earned shekels and find it does as described.  Remove lower from upper, slide on the V2 and attach the .22LR conversion or dedicated upper to the lower and off you go.  The benefits of this are such that I am considering getting one as a loaner to keep in my Gack Box to go with my loaner slings and swivels.
I will advise further after field tests

Thanks for the info, Wolfhound.  I was about to try modifying a BetterMag Adapter to fit my TacSol upper.  For the same reasons as you, I didn't want to use the ARCatch 22 because the lower is most often used with a .223 upper.  If the V2 doesn't work in my case, it looks like it will be easier to modify.  We'll see.
It's already on order.
