Red Coat Rival

Palmerton June 13th & 14th 2020

13 Patriots gathered this weekend for a time of Rev War History and traditional American Rifle Marksmanship.

Saturday and Sunday the skies were sunny and clear, no humidity with a light breeze, we could not have asked for better weather even if we had ordered it.

All the participants had a great teachable attitude, they were focused and worked hard towards improving their skills, this was evident by the fact they completed 8 timed AQT's and 6 Red Coats in 2 days.

Congratulations to Robert who scored Rifleman and to Michael and Mark who re-qualified. The following Patriots cleared their Red Coat targets, some on multiple occasions; Bob, Michael, Robert, Mark and Martha (way to go Martha).

One tradition we have established at Palmerton is the "Board Between The Knees" team competition, and the winning team at this event is 2 of our youth shooters, David and Jaidyn.

The other shooters this weekend saw their scores improved, many just shy of the Rifleman standard, we look forward to your return.

Two shooters, David and Robert having meet the requirements stepped forward and took the Orange Hat. Thank you both for joining the team.

All the students did an outstanding job and you all should be proud. Everyone showed marked improvement that was a pleasure to witness.

I would also like to thank Palmerton Rod and Gun Club for hosting our event, and the use of their beautiful facility.

Thank you
Red Coat Rival, Shoot Boss
