We had a fantastic weekend in Stockton. Many thanks to Tom for sharing his farm with us and for getting the range in such nice shape The weather was a little warm (upper 80's), but with the breeze it was very comfortable. Congratulations to John for scoring 214 on the AQT and earning his rifleman patch on Saturday. And congratulations to Terry for requalifying on the AQT as well. Kudos to David, Sophia, and Cody for demonstrating fantastic improvements on Sunday. Keep working on your fundamentals and you'll be scoring rifleman before you know it!

We had great fun shooting steel targets at 200, 400, and 500 yards Sunday afternoon. It was nice to see that nobody had any problems drilling the 200 yard target and we learned a good lesson on the effects of gravity and a full cross-wind at the 500 yard target.

Many thanks to Steve, Kay, and Joe for driving all the way to Stockton to help instruct and share the history. It was great working with you guys. You are more than welcome to cross the border into Iowa and help out with shoots in the Clinton and Dubuque area any time you want.

I'll try to get the group picture we took on Saturday posted tomorrow or the next day.

What a great weekend.  We had some great instructors that helped remind me of that missed or forgotten step in getting the perfect shot. In what hinted to be an uncomfortably warm day
turned out to be near ideal, thanks to the clever canopy erected by IXOYE.  Thanks to Tom Noller for hosting the event at the family's private range.

Congratulations to John for scoring rifleman at his first Appleseed.  And a special congratulations to Cody and Sophia for the great improvement over the weekend and their persistence.
It's great to see our future will be in good hands.
