Ft Worth, TX - Patriot's Day - May 30-31, 2020 - Quail Creek Range

  Ft. Worth hosted its rescheduled Patriot's Day event on May 30-31, 2020    We have 9 shooters (including two IITs who are rejoining the Instructor Cadre!)

Blue skies, a few clouds, mild breezes, and pop up canopies helped keep temperatures reasonable, although when the highs are in the upper 80s to low 90s, all you can do is find as much shade as possible and drink water and more water.  We also cut the hours both days due to the heat.

We completed two AQTs on Saturday and minted a new Rifleman with a score of 223!    Congratulations, Jimmy B!  Both returning IITs re-qualified - Michael J with a 240  and a DISTINGUISHED patch, and Jason E. with a 220    Congratulations to both of you!  The Texas cadre is glad you're coming back! 

We completed two AQTs on Sunday and minted a second new Rifleman with a score of 211   Congratulations, Gary C!  Jimmy B qualified a second time with a score of 222 

Hats off to the three youth who joined us - Samantha, Caleb, and Stephen.  Samantha and Caleb both had high scores of 160 on Sunday - they did a GREAT job of implementing the instruction.  Stephen had equipment issues both days but still managed to score a 98 on the last AQT of the day!   

Following the Benediction and awarding of patches on Sunday, Gary C. was invited to join the Texas Instructor Cadre.  I'm pleased to announce that Gary accepted an Orange Hat!    Gary's forum name is Raider989!
