We really didn't know how this event would turn out considering we hadn't held an event since February and the cloud of Covid-19 is still hanging over us. One-day events are usually a train wreck with the time monkey running wild. This one was different. The three students and three Instructors were responsible for social distancing and they worked well together. The students arrived on time and kept up a steady pace all day allowing us to meet our instructional objectives and shoot four AQTs. While no Riflemen were honored, we were very pleased with their performance and skills developed.
Ryan, your 190 scored at your second event says you are on the hunt for your Rifleman patch at your next shoot. Keep up the dry practice and develop smoot transitions and reloads for Stage 2 and you will succeed. Dale, you are to be commended for scoring 120 with Ruger sights at your first event. You'll be amazed at the difference the Tech Sights will make in your ability to see and hit the small targets. Steve, you turned in a very impressive performance for a young man at his first Appleseed. We hope to see you and your dad again at a future event. Remember to 7th Step and bring a friend or relative to the next Appleseed.
