The pre-regs had whittled down to two shooters for a chilly January Appleseed weekend - but these were two incredibly committed patriots. Richard was determined to get his rifleman patch, and Jamie was shooting for 250. Yes, Richard got his rifleman patch with a solid 232, and Jamie fought hard for a 245. By the end of the weekend, the shooters had gone through around 920 rounds!

A walk-on who's been working steadily for the last year to earn his patch (Edison), walked away with a 225. Edison's been knocking on the door, and he put it all together this weekend.

A terrific group of instructors came out, despite the low turnout. As a result, everyone got solid time shooting and honing skills. Laertes, also looking for 250, pushed neck and neck with Jamie on Sunday. Laertes ended with a weekend best of 248 -  yep, one four on the 4th stage. RMack topped his best score, and beat his wife's best score in the process. Do you suppose that competition is heating up in that household?

My sincere thanks go out to Adamsod, RMack, LittleZody, and Laertes.
