Which Tech Sights to get?

Hello, I'm new here and I'm signed up for an Appleseed event in April, so I've been going through my gear in advance to get ready.
I'm looking into Tech Sights, and I'm not sure what to get.
My 10/22 came with a rail on the stock, so I'm inclined to get the TSR200RL Rail Sightshttps://www.tech-sights.com/product/ruger-1022-rail-aperture-sights/, but I was wondering if anyone had an aversion to that, and suggested I remove my rail and go with the TSR100 or TSR200 instead.

Get the 100 sight.

Here's why.

The rail sight mounts an inch or two more forward than the 100 and 200.  The further away your eye is from the rear aperture, the harder it is to focus on the front sight and shoot accurately.  It matters.

The 200 model (and the rail model) use the elevation adjustable rear sight which flat out sucks.  It is not an easy adjustable on the fly design but requires their special tool (or a small flat blade screwdriver) to awkwardly move it one click at a time.  The adjustment is very stiff.  It also puts the rear aperture on a threaded post which increases the floppiness of the rear aperture and hampers accuracy more.

The 100 uses a traditional A1 style aperture which is much more stable and windage only adjustable like any A1 sight.  It works much better and is more conducive to ultimate accuracy.

I bought a few sets of the 200 years ago to outfit my 10/22's and was very disappointed with them.  The impression I had was that the 200 would be easy to adjust elevation on the rear and I had visions of being able to dial elevation for shooting at distance.  That is not at all how the 200 works.

If I was buying them today I'd get the 100 every time.

I think you meant "100".  :)

I agree with Lomshek on all points. Go with the 100 model; it's a better sight (and it's a little cheaper, too). Also pick up one of the knurled adjustment tools, it's well worth the $8.

Dohhhh!  Yep.  Fixed it now.

Someday I'll make it through without screwing up but not today or yesterday (or any day so far).

100 as stated above.  Enjoy your shoot.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

drilling a hole in the tech sight tool and adding some boot lace you can clip it to your range bag or person so that you can find it when you need it

Thanks for all the feedback.
I got the TSR100 and installed, test shot/sighted in yesterday. It's nice and I'm pleased.
Slowly getting the rifle and myself ready for my April 2-day.
