We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

The unseasonably cold and windy weather definitely caused issues with shooters keeping steady during sighters, from shaking so much.  The Shoot Boss even wore his heavy red instructor hoodie all day Saturday, and actually had the hood up and the drawstring drawn tight for a while!  No Sunshine Patriots at this Appleseed on Saturday, though, as everyone stayed all day!  The windchill factor was in the low 40's, whereas the temperature had been 89 degrees F and calm just a few days earlier.  Apparently, autumn this year was slightly less than 1 day long!
Sunday was pretty much a repeat of Saturday. All but two shooters returned for more marksmanship and honoring of our Fore Fathers despite the chill. Three new Riflemen were forged and two requalified. Tim scored 226 at his first Appleseed. Ken scored 224. Doc scored 214. Paul requalified with a 218 and Yankee Davey requalified with a Distinguished 244! HUZZAH! Several first-timers turned in very respectable scores: Robert 205; Todd 163; Raudah 143. Keith and Claudine presented respectable Sharpshooter scores of 187 and 186. Surely, they will all return and earn the coveted Rifleman patch. It was a small number of students and instructors but everyone persevered and worked well together. I don't recall a more agreeable, fun and hardworking group.
