Mr. Clean

An Appleseed weekend that seemed a disappointment turned out fine. With only 6 pre-registered participants, it was going to be the same amount of work to benefit so few. Due to some last minute 7th stepping that number doubled! Good work telling a friend instructors and participants. One rifleman returned to qualify with his AR and he did it. A new rifleman was added to my own family and I couldn't be more proud! Parental responsibility includes teaching your kids how to shoot, right?
We had some green shooters that made great progress proportionate with their teachable attitude. I anticipated the difficulties a high percentage of new shooters would bring but was glad there were few safety issues (2 muzzle sweeps immediately addressed). All were happy with their progress and encouraged to stay of the rifleman journey. Our returning rifleman and his wife are inviting us to hold a future AS event at their home range in Sandpoint. We need to work out the obstacles on both sides but our instructors were all glad to spread out to another range.
Keep up the good work you started. Dry practice safely. Come back for another Appleseed shoot.
