We had a great Appleseed at the Piqua Fish and Game. Beautiful weather made it a joy to be out improving our marksmanship and discussing the founding of this Great Nation! Normally August can be rather hot and humid here in Ohio, so we didn't have a lot of shooters signed up for this one, but that allowed the instructors to have a lot more trigger time, resulting in Doc Willi, Thomas F, and Coyote 217 re-qualifying as riflemen. We also had two former Riflemen re-qualify, Nalin P., with a 215, and Jim F., shot 213 with iron sights.

Lower attendance gave plenty of one-on-one instruction, and it also allowed us to give each shooter some time behind a laser rifle Sunday morning to work on NPOA.

We had one new Rifleman on Sunday, Cody G., scored a 219; this was his second Appleseed and he graciously accepted the Orange Hat. Cody's passion for history, and the relevance of that history in today's society, will be a great asset to the Appleseed mission. 

For the instructors, it was an awesome weekend, new skills were learned and several promotions were earned; including the promotion of ThomasF to Instructor. Thanks to the great crew of instructors: Rattlehead, The Buckeye Trapper, Coyote 217, ThomasF, Doc Willi, purple_patch, and Haley Beth.

It was a wonderful weekend spent with an inspired group of fellow Americans!

Another great Appleseed by the Piqua team. You guys rock.  Glad the instructors got some trigger time too.  It is a rare treat for our instructors to get behind a rifle instead of coaching. 

Great job to all who worked this event and welcome to our new Orange Hat.

Well done everyone! It was a pleasure meeting some of you for the first time as well as seeing those who returned! Congratulations to Cody on shooting Rifleman and taking the orange hat, Huzzah!
