Wow! What an AMAZING weekend! 18 Patriots, braving the threat of a cold rain arrived at the Home Range ready to get to work. These men and lady were SERIOUS about their marksmanship, as well as soaking in the HISTORY of events occurring 19 April, 1775. Preamble and safety brief out of the way, our intrepid shooters buckled down and went to work - our first Redcoat showing LOTS of promise for things to come (5 "shingles", 3 "Cleared").We took our time to give the students ample opportunity to check and adjust their zeros, and were rewarded by our first three Riflemen on the one AQT we managed to get into Saturday afternoon! Our second Redcoat showed a promise of things to come - 9 "Shingle" shots and 4 "Cleared"!

Sunday greeted us with heavy cloud cover and the threat of rain, but these cleared away before the line went "hot". Even though the wind picked up and we faced falling temperatures, our students shrugged off the discomfort and made the cadre proud - 11(!) Riflemen in total (out of 18 students!) and three "Distinguished Riflemen". The shooters clearly were listening to the cadre's suggestions, taking them to heart, and the end result proved they were paying attention!

SOG provided the class with an outstanding presentation regarding our Constitution and Bill of Rights, which was met with much applause from all attending!

Our Riflemen scores were as follows: Tristan M. - 211/210, Cory H. - 211/213, Ben W. 238/228 (Distinguished, using iron sights), Randy R. - 231 (Distinguished, using iron sights), Craig H. - 222/217, David T. 210/220 (Baptized in the water from the North Bridge!), Philip K.- 214/219, Joe W. 225, Jamie H - 245/231 (Distinguished, scoped rifle), Dan M. 229, and Tyler T. 213. Many others were pounding on the door, and refused to quit - the Rifleman perseveres!

Eleven Riflemen! An outstanding weekend in all respects! All were invited to our next Appleseed, and I look forward to many following up and seeing them back on the line!
