A light, chilly rain was falling as nine dedicated and eager Patriots arrived for their opportunity to "drink from the firehose". Fortunately, the rain quickly abated, leaving our intrepid shooters with a nice cloud cover - no "sun-in-the-eyes" issues for THIS shoot! Having engaged our first Redcoat targets, we determined there was work to be done so that they might prove that "…they knew what they were about"!

Our group quickly delved into the fascinating world of Rifle marksmanship, quickly stepping through instruction, many sets of sighter-squares, and ultimately managing two AQTS the first day, rewarding us with a PAIR of Riflemen: Simon, shooting scores of 217 and 221 (221 and 229 Sunday) and Alex, managing to "squeak" by with a Rifleman's score of 210, and earning a baptism with waters drawn from the North Bridge. AND, to prove it wasn't a fluke, he managed AGAIN to return a score of 210, along with several other higher scores Sunday, culminating in a high score of 222! Along with our newly-minted Riflemen, we had a "return engagement", with Bob requalifying with impressive back-to-back scores of 221.

Vital to our mission was the relating of the Three Strikes of the Match which, along with the Tour of Flags and several "Dangerous Old Men" tales, were eagerly absorbed by our little group. All in all, an excellent weekend of History, Heritage, and Marksmanship for all!
