News:

We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

..:..  ..:.. This event was the inaugural American Heritage Girls shoot for the State of Texas!  Sending a HUGE shout out to the AHG parents and participants for setting the stage for future events, and to the Trail Life leaders for providing instruction and support.  We're excited to continue to work with you and develop your shooting skills to reach Rifleman!!!   ^:)^

The day was clear and sunny with temps ranging from the mid-40's to the mid-70's.  Several parents/instructors brought pop-up shelters that kept the shooters in the shade for most of the day.  Clint, Debbie, and Paul shared the three Strikes during lunch.

We had 11 Shooters on the firing line (eight AHG, ages 8-13, one AHG brother, an NRA Instructor/RSO, and a new AppleCore volunteer).  Since most of the girls had never touched or shot a rifle before, our fist POI introduced the components of a rifle and how to load and unload a magazine.  O0  By the end of the day, we had four scores over 100  ..:..  ..:..  ..:.. including our NRA Instructor who scored 187 (he struggled loading the magazine for the Second Stage and only managed to fire a couple of shots before the Cease Fire was called).  With the change in time, we only had time to complete one AQT before the final Redcoat and closing ceremony.

SPECIAL THANKS are extended to QCSR for granting Applesed the exclusive use of the South Range for all events in 2019.  They are very excited about expanding the number of Appleseed events and we are excited to have found such a great home in North Texas.

Photos to follow once I can reduce them in size...
