Red Coat Rival

13 fine Americans joined us this weekend for a big dose of Rev War History and good old' American Rifle Marksmanship. It never fails that Palmerton PA attracts and gathers together great folks with excellent attitudes and forte.
The event started with the pledge of allegiance and thanks to all of the attendees for committing a weekend to partake in the heritage of rifle marksmanship.
The predicted weather did hold off on Saturday, instead of rain it misted almost the entire day (we were all damp but not wet). On Sunday the skies cleared up for what turned out to be a beautiful event in all ways imaginable.
All the participants were focused and determined to work hard towards improving their skills, this was evident by the fact they completed 8 timed AQT's in 2 days.
Two shooters scored Rifleman (Justin and Matt), and 4 in total cleared the Red Coat target (Justin cleared his Red Coat in the sitting position).

We also had young women named Victoria I believe was our most improved shooter for the weekend, she is new to the world of shooting, and persevered all Saturday. The hard work showed as it all came together on the last target of the day as she nearly cleared the Red Coat, missing only one shot by a fraction of an inch. Unfortunately she became ill and could not participate on Sunday, hope to see you again at another event.

Both Aaron and Mark came up the ladder really well and turned in ever increasing scores just shy of the Rifleman standard, both will cross that 210 threshold very quickly, we look forward to your return.

All the students did an outstanding job and you all should be proud. With a little range time and some fine tuning you will all achieve what you set out to do, everyone showed marked improvement that was a pleasure to witness.
I would also like to thank Palmerton Rod and Gun Club for hosting our event, and the use of their beautiful facility.

Thank you

Very nice Red Coat Rival.

Glad to see you doing a fine job.

Encliment weather has a way to make riflemen that's for sure, and memories. Seems we always remember those days the most.

Keep up the good work.
