Saturday we had 13 signed up. Unfortunately, only 7 showed up.
But those that did show up were true Americans that were eager to learn what Appleseed had to offer.

Started the morning off with the Redcoat target which showed that we had much to learn...
As the instruction was learned, groups began to get better with some decent groups forming.

I believe the Lunchtime History was well received,
as they realized the sacrifices of our Forefathers gave us the freedom we have today.

As the afternoon went on, some of the attendees started to get it as they worked through position issues
and a few were able to post Marksman scores on the AQT.

We ended Saturday with James, Bao, and Phillip qualified with Marksman scores
and Samuel was knocking on the door to Rifleman with a 202.

Sunday, morning was slightly overcast until about 10am, then was somewhat cooler than Saturday.

We had 8 on Sunday, with the addition of Seul Ki, who made the trip down from Northern California to see if he could knock out the Rifleman Score. He had been to Appleseed twice before in Castro Valley before that range was shut down due to "environmental concerns."

As the day progressed, the AQT scores got better and we had significant improvement.

End of day scores were as follows: James=150, Summer=162, Phillip=165, Bao=186, Daniel=194, and.....

Samuel crossed the threshold to Rifleman with a 220!

Seul Ki also attained a Rifleman score of 218 and did it with an irons sighted AR!!! :F :F

Congrats to both Riflemen!!!

and to the other Attendees... keep practicing the positions, dry fire at home, and take someone to the range and teach them what you were just taught... :sb:

It's our heritage and duty as Americans  :F to practice MARKSMANSHIP!   :snipersmi

The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection   Thomas Paine

Proverbs 22:3  -  A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even when checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy, nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat".
Theodore Roosevelt
