We had a great time at Niles, MI. this past weekend.  We had 20 shooters turn out to learn and to celebrate our heritage as Americans.  12 of the 20 were Scouts from Troop 110 out of Mishawaka, IN.  They were a fun bunch to work with.  We concentrated on fundamentals and the marksmanship improved greatly over the course of the weekend.  Remember, guys, focus on the front sight!

The weather was in the mid 80's which did take a toll on enthusiasm on Saturday by late afternoon, Sunday was more temperate.  All in all we had a great time.

Many thanks to the Bend of the River Conservation Club for hosting us and for making this an easy event to run.  Many thanks as well to those who sent loaner rifles to this event so that the Scouts could all have a rifle to use.  This event would not have been as great a success without their generosity.   Also many thanks to my instructors who gave of their time to come and instruct and mentor these young shooters.  You guys are the best.
