We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

This AAR has been a long time coming, only because life and world events got the best of me right after this event started.  So, without further ado:

Cavalier Rifle & Pistol Club is one of my favorite venue for several reasons - line capacity, the local surroundings, but most importantly, the people that show up to these events.  True to form over the last several years, this event did not disappoint at all!

With a broad age demographic, ranging between young teenagers and septuagenarians, new students and Appleseed Alumni came out and had a great time learning about rifle marksmanship and, more importantly, how marksmanship is in our cultural DNA.  Amongst the nearly 30 students in the batch, several showed promise, with 4 earning the Expert classification and title of Rifleman!  Of those 4, two earned the Distinguished Rifleman Tab (one scope, one iron sights)!

Congratulations to Jon W. (Distinguished), Ian S. (Distinguished), Todd S., and Dan K. for an excellent showing on the line!

On behalf of the VA Instructor Corps, thank you to all the students who came out and persevered on the line - it's folks like you, showing us what you are all about, that make our time and effort worthwhile!
"5 minutes for this stage - that's like a week in people years!"

"Responsibility is a unique concept... You may share it with others, but your portion is not diminished. You may delegate it, but it is still with you... If responsibility is rightfully yours, no evasion, or ignorance or passing the blame can shift the burden to someone else. Unless you can point your finger at the man who is responsible when something goes wrong, then you have never had anyone really responsible."
― Hyman G. Rickover

"Scoring is a function of great execution, and winning Is the result, but thinking about winning can pull your focus off of proper execution in a competition. Thinking about process is the answer."- Lanny Bassham
