After Action Report Gillette  Wyoming 07-08July2018

Our first event at the Gillette Gun Club.  We had a WARM reception - literally - it hit 100F on Saturday!
Yeah, I know: a cool day in Florida, but uncommon here.
There was a total of 16 shooters, aged from 6 to 60.  Since we did not have enough Instructors to dedicate to each youngster, their dads forebore shooting to coach and ensure safety.  Thanks, Mike and Brian.  You are great dads.

The firing line was uncovered, since we were using the 50 yard range, but one popup and several tarps provided shade for breaks and history.

The improvement in marksmanship was quite noticeable.
We only made one Rifleman, but had quite a few shooting around 200. These folks definitely  have persistence to keep on in that heat.  Congratulations to all of you and especially to Mike who shot a 212 on Sunday.

Thanks to John and The Gillette Gun Club for hosting us, we sure appreciate the warm welcome.
Thanks to Instructors Marathongirl, Olfartoo, raggedyedge, Beemer, pewpewpew and rocket.
Above all, thanks to the students, especially the 8 youths who kept on despite the heat.  Keep on Persisting and you will become Rifleman!

Sounds like a great event.  Here in Ohio we had a KD at Tusco Rifle Club in New Philly Ohio and we had the pleasure of having a Wyoming instructor on the line.  "Sleepy" joined us for two days of hard work at full distance and I am pleased to report that he will be returning to Wyoming with a Long Distance rocker having qualified at the event.
