Toasty June weekend.

4 wonderful Americans.

Hmmm...sounds like a great Appleseed weekend.

Oh yeah...It was!!!

We had 4 amazing guys out for a rather toasty weekend.  Highs in the mid to upper 90s.  I know it's not that hot, but you have to consider that we are at 3000 feet.  It's usually a little bit cooler.

Never the less, we turned on the fire hose and set these guys to learning.  Note taking and questions and progress made.

Saturday lunch was the pre history along with the first two strikes.

Back on the line for more fire hose.  Lots of little breaks for water/fluid and snacks.

We were able to get one AQT in before we called it good for the day.

Third strike and a finish up.

Sunday was warmer than Saturday.

We did some review, fine tuned positions, slings and everything else.  Groups began to shrink.

History at lunch with the DOM's and some Determined Dames.  We had some folks who were waiting for their match to start on the next range stop by and listen to the history. It was great to see.

AQT's in the afternoon were going well.  Scores climbed.  No Riflemen, but lots of progress.  You guys will make it next time.

Charlie, Brian, Dennis & Preston, thank you very much for coming out and making our event wonderful.

Hope to see you guys out again soon.

Thank you for helping us tear down and clean up.

Thank you to my instructors for you awesome help.

Yes, PolyGunner is correct, after 4 long years we saw the return of Daryl and the famous NorCal Appleseed Staff Car at Hat Creek  :partytime:

And how better to spend the weekend before Independance Day than at the rifle range with a group of patriots celebrating liberty !

Add the onsite BBQ with massive portions and more then enough to share, (Thank you Steve for being the BBQ Master)

And an amazing and dedicated group of instructors too.

I cannot imagine a better place to be.

Old Guy:  Do it long enough and you get really good at it.

Rifleman:  Sacramento:  Four Ought Nine
Full Distance:  Red Bluff:  What year was that?
Pistoleerâ„¢:  Hat Creek:  Three Twenty One

Make yourselves good scouts and good rifle shots in order to protect the women and children of your country if it should ever become necessary.

Well I had to leave something for the rest of you to talk about.

Yes, Welcome back Darryl...

TallSteve

What a fantastic way to celebrate the then upcoming Independence Day!
The students eagerly drank from the fire hose and applied what they were learning.  They all had great attitudes.
It was great to witness Darryl's enthusiasm and teaching.

Thanks Darryl for providing some great meat choices for everyone.
Camping at Hat Creek was fantastic as it cooled down nicely at night.

Looking forward to returning to Hat Creek at the end of this month.
The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees*. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
