We had a great group of shooters show up. A mix of experienced and new shooters. The instructors were very impressed with 3 young boys and their attention to safety. In fact the whole group was very safety conscious. I don't even remember anyone having to return to the line to make a rifle safe. Fun group to work with.

We got rolling right in to things to try and beat the heat. Iowa weather forgot about spring and rolled right in to late summer. We had the feels like triple digit weather. Good news was some cloud cover and a light breeze. This slowed our shooters down but not their determination. Afternoon was more frequent breaks, lots of water, and the strikes.

This will be a shoot all will remember. We beat the heat and persevered. We has some good scores turned in but no rifleman scores.

 O0 yes it was HOT !  Several nice comments from the students after the weekend and they had recovered.   The value of the event was emphasized !
