We started the morning with 20 shooters all ready to learn. About an hour into the shoot here came the rain. It rained about 2 inches in 3 hours good news temperature were in high 50's. First time I ever shared the first strike because we were waiting for hail that never came. All of the weather sites looked pretty scary. When we broke for lunch shooters ran home for dry clothes. The rain had moved past us.

Our group was a mix mainly of new and some experienced shooters. Once we had dry clothes the smiles started to return to the shooters. Groups continued to shrink. History was shared and well received. This was a fun group to work with.

Thanks need to go out to the city of Bloomington for the use of the police range, and the big army surplus tent we huddled under. This is the 3rd shoot in Bloomington I have been shoot boss at and it will definitely be remembered. As instructors we were pleased to see how hard they worked during the rain.

We had one rifleman and a couple knocking on the door. We are going to try and schedule a September date since shoot was so well attended.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. John Wayne
