FL Instructors KD - Myakka - April 15
« on: March 08, 2018, 10:03:20 AM »
FL Instructors! Come out and celebrate "Tax Relief Day" with a 1-day KD shoot on the 600 yard range at Myakka. (Ya'll just sign up on TIPS, as instructors, if you wish to attend) Range fees are only $15 for Appleseed. This range has now been upgraded, with raised shooting positions at 100 yard intervals. Safety has also been beefed up, for those who remember our adventures on this range last year. Now that the range is quickly improving, I hope to make KD events a regular thing at one of the oldest Appleseed ranges in our history. A number of our local instructors have also become official NRA certified RO's at this range, with another class hopefully scheduled soon. With any luck we should see Appleseed become bigger than ever in Manatee county.
"We have always looked upon men as a set of beings naturally free - that a people can never be divested of those invaluable rights and liberties which are necessary to the happiness of individuals, to the well-beings of communities or to a well regulated state, but by their own negligence, imprudence, timidity or rashness. They are seldom lost, but when foolishly forfeited or tamely resigned." ~Jonas Clarke

We still have room for more shooters. The morning instruction will focus on all of you learning to teach a typical Sunday afternoon KD lecture at Appleseed. I've also been known to give out cool charts and handouts you can use for visual aids. ;)
For the rest of the day, we will shoot til they make us go home.

 ..:..
They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power.
