We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

After several soggy shoots, we finally had a weekend of great weather. The line was nearly full, with 15 out of a possible 16 shooters for this event. Nearly all were first-time Appleseeders with Josh showing up to try and upgrade his Rifleman skills with a CF, this time around (almost there Josh, keep pushing). Some had never shot a rifle before this weekend. In fact one such fella went from never shooting a rifle to shooting the highest score of the weekend, a solid sharpshooter. Nice going John! (and to the rest of you, See, it Works!) Young Connor went from never touching a firearm to shooting respectable sized groups, despite starting out with a couple rifles that were too long for him and losing faith fast. We finally got some rounds down range and then there was no stopping him. We also had a number of campers, with over half our line opting to stay on site all weekend. I'd like to thank Ken, the Mattull's and Brian K for keeping me well fed all weekend, a rare treat! Just shows you can be both a Rifleman AND a cook! By the end, we had a number of solid sharpshooter scores and everyone showing a lot of promise. Trust us, dry-fire practice works and don't forget to do some "Rifleman's Yoga" working on those positions. We still have plenty of shoots planned this year and don't forget the other 12+ Appleseed ranges we are blessed with here in the sunshine state. I look forward to seeing you all again. God bless and may the brush-fires of Liberty burn ever so brightly.

They are seldom lost, but when foolishly forfeited or tamely resigned." ~Jonas Clarke

Some photos. Thank Valkyrie76 for putting together the little Appleseed swag bags. (Each one contains 2 name tags, a chamber flag, sticker, business card, and trigger training device)

Setting up for events can be a lot of work, so much thanks to Mike P. for coming out on Friday to help set up and the rest who helped set up and take down our tent city, to try and keep our students out of the sun as much as possible. The covered shelter here is only big enough for about 4 shooters. Then we put up a big 10x20, for an additional 6 and as many 10x10 pop ups as we can scrounge up. (this time we were lucky with 4 and some improvised cover with tarps and tent poles.
