The weekend started out cool and rainy, with nothing but wind and rain in the forecast.  There were only 5 shooters registered - down from the typical 15-20 we normally have in Charlotte.  4 shooters showed, and things got started right on time at 0830.  It became evident after the first Red Coat that the 4 shooters we had were familiar and proficient, and as we progressed into the instruction they took it well, which was evident in the 4-8 MOA groups on the very first sighter squares.

The groups only tighten up with each piece of the instruction, such that we only needed the 5 sighter squares before progressing on to sitting and the Green Coat targets.  The shooters were attentive during the Three Strikes, asking questions and really getting into the material.  We finished the Third Strike just after lunch and got 4 AQTs in on Day One; three of our 4 Shooters qualified Rifleman by the end of Saturday:

Day Two was warm and muggy, with rain and thunderstorms in the forecast.  The students arrived bright and early and got right back to work, with a quick review of the previous day's instruction and then the first AQT.  We tested their NPOA with Carding the Sights, had a good and interactive KD lecture, followed by more AQTs.  Our 4th shooter qualified Rifleman on Sunday, for 100%:

With all shooters qualified Rifleman, some fired centerfire on the 300yd Range, hitting steel at that distance.

It was a very great and rewarding weekend with quality shooters who came with a teachable attitude, applied the lessons well and achieved great success.

Additionally, this was my final SBiT - and the instructor team for this event were instrumental in it being a successful weekend not only for our shooters, but for my own development as well.
