Central Iowa Shoots?

Ok, here's the question on my mind, are there any shoots, informal or otherwise, lined up in the near future for us Central Iowans?

OR...

Would any one be interested in setting one up?

Hey bear, If you want to get a shoot in your area you should talk to the folks at your local ranges. Plant a bug in their ear. Maybe give them some fliers to get the membership interested. The idea is we have to make it happen if we want to see it. Has anyone heard from Iowamark lately? olbolts

Has anyone spoken with the club that runs the range at Van Meter, Iowa?  I think its run by the Des Moines Rifle and Pistol club.

The Range at Van Meter is a great facility, but they are an incredibly active club, and there schedule is very full. I believe Iowa-Mark has already contacted them. Something else to keep in mind is that we don't need to be at a rifle range. Many Appleseeds are held on private property, so keep that in mind while looking for a place to hold an Appleseed.
