Eight dedicated shooters took the line on Saturday.  All were  of similar skill level, in that they had decent groups from the first sighter in the morning.  As they listened to instruction during the morning and put into practice the principles being taught, there was progress, but it was slow.  Everyone persevered and paid attention, but 'getting' NPOA and remembering trigger control was slow.  The path to rifleman is not an easy one.

One person made it.  Bill shot a solid 216 and later backed it up with another good score.  He found that a loose rear sight did not help his marksmanship one bit.

The history of April 19 was well received, as were the personal accounts on Sunday.  The spirit of freedom was evident.  Many of the shooters are planning to return to continue on their journey to rifleman.  And I believe that they also appreciate a little more the freedoms that we enjoy, and will seek to exercise them more.  Smile, John Adams...
