Thanks to the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club we had another great event this weekend.  The LCWC is a great host range and they are expanding their club house which will include an indoor conference room.  It will a very nice area to tell the lunch time stories.

Seven Patriots showed up to increase their rifle marksmanship skills and to engage the stories of the founding of our country.  We had four adults and three youth participate in the event.   We also had a new Orange Hat, Jethro Bodine join us at the event.    JB is going to be a great addition to the AS instructor corp in the NW.  He already coaches his local 4-H shooting team and works well with instructing students in proper marksmanship techniques.

The first redcoat on Saturday morning showed that the instructors had their work cut of for them.   Only two shooters qualified on that first redcoat.   However, they quickly absorbed the marksmanship techniques and on the final redcoat on Sunday, with 5 out of 6 shooters placing an aimed shot in Morgan's shingle!

Unfortunately, we did not hand out any rifleman patch at this event.  Eli, Sam and Lan each scored AQT in the 200's, so they were just a couple of better hits from getting their rifleman patch.  All three of you need to continue to dry fire practice at home and utilize NPOA shifts in your practice.   Print up a sighter square target and place it on the wall across the living room.   Keep practicing your NPOA shifts and NPOA verification skill to get these marksmanship skills perfected.   If you want to shoot repeated rifleman scores, you will need to incorporate NPOA shifts into you shooting.

Marcus was only able to join us on Saturday, and he did a great job throughout the day and the size of his groups dramatically shrunk throught out the day.  I hope to see you back in November.

Sam D and Harlei shot off of sandbags both days.   When they focused and concentrated on their form, they could stack rounds right on top of each other.   When they were not concentrating, the groups started to open up.   At their next AS events, they need to get rid of the sand bags and start working on their field position steady hold factors.

The next event at LCWC is November 11/12.   I hope to see you all at this event and if you practice, I will giving you all rifleman patches.
