Weston County Sportsman's Club, Newcastle  Wyoming in July!  Hot?  Yes, but we had a covered range that really helped protect our tender skins…
Jeepster came up from Grand Junction, stopping in Denver to pickup Mike, and John came over from Gillette.  Not a large crowd, with 2 shooters and 2 instructors, but a good event nonetheless.  Mike and John were both experience shooters, and John had drilled at home with a bolt action.  He shot a 236 on Saturday and various Rifleman scores 4 times on Sunday.  Mike never quite shot Rifleman, but shot some great stages, just not all together.  As his Tee shirt said: "Die, then give up!"  He kept trying to the end and I have no doubt that he will score on his next go.
Jeepster did a good job on the 2nd Strike and DOM Sam Whittemore.
Thanks for coming all the way from G.J., Chuck, for encouraging John and Mike to come, and for making sure both shooters had first class equipment.  Those Magpul stocks for 10/22s are awesome.
Thanks to Dan, Galen and Weston County Sportsman's Club for hosting us.  Anyone close by who shoots and is not a member is missing out using a great range.
Thank you, John and Mike, for coming to Newcastle.  We had hoped for more, but we had quality instead of quantity.  Hope to see all again.
