A small but diligent group of students made for a very interesting and great event at the Bozrah Rod and Gun Club this past weekend. The weekend started with a student/ IT ratio of 2 to 1 which lead to some extra individual attention Saturday and a lot of it on Sunday.

Saturday started with cloudy, overcast and finally rain, which made set up interesting and more than a few wet moments. Once underway things improved and by lunchtime the rain ended and we had worked out several POI's on squares. Afternoon commenced with IMC and extra time was spent to get everyone set with their chosen rifle. By the end of the day the POI's were covered, the last of the 3 strikes was told and an AQT to round it out along with the final redcoat for the day.

Sunday started with great weather, an AQT, some practice on squares and more than a few AQT's throughout the day. We had almost one on one instructor per student at times and it helped those who received it immensely.

Rick, started well and his improvement showed with scores continually climbing until he broke thru the Rifleman threshold with an excellent score of 221.  There were no further Rifleman over the weekend but improvement was seen across the line with all in attendance.

Mason, a junior shooter who fired a Rifleman score in February, stepped up to become our newest orange hat IT. He worked most of the day Sunday shadowing other IT's and getting the hang of things very well. We welcome his volunteering and commitment.

The shooters were great to work with, as usual some have a number of problems that hinders their progress, this time Aki had more than his share. His family were able to attend only for Saturday, hope you can make another event soon. Mason, his father and brothers Ty and Elias were all in for this shoot. Extra effort and perseverance made the difference for them all.

The instructor crew of Su:), Huysman, mwolf, Mason and Parallax did a great job over the weekend with everything from set up and running the event thru tear down Sunday evening. mwolf also for  traveling from Massachusetts and bringing Cheddy for the class. All of the instructors submitted and passed their PC upgrades at this shoot also! All on their own, really! ~~:) ~~:) Thank you for the help!

The Bozrah R&G club has been going the extra distance over the last couple years, making sure that everything was ready and help was always nearby. Bob is a supporter of Appleseed at Bozrah, Teddy the cook with always something way beyond hotdogs for the attendees and IT crew. We thank the club for the use of their facility and look forward to Appleseed returning soon.
