Due to scheduling we find ourselves very short of instructors for the upcoming LaPorte, In. Youth Shoot/Appleseed on June 21 & 22.

Appleseed has done an Appleseed for the Michigan City Rod and Gun club for the last several years.  This is a Tuesday-Wednesday shoot.  We will have 50 shooters aged 5th grade to 12th grade.  In years past having enough instructors has not been a problem.  This year however, schedules have not worked out - many at the last minute.  Currently we have 4 instructors for this event.  Obviously, we need several more to run a safe shoot.

This is an important event for Appleseed.  Last year the club generously donated in the neighborhood of $1500 to Appleseed.  Beyond the financial issue however is the more important issue of the shooters.  Most of these kids come from situations where they would not normally be exposed to firearms or any kind of shooting sport.  This week long camp put on annually by MCRGC has an important positive impact on these kids as relates to shooting sports they might otherwise not get.

If anyone can help out one or both of those days this next week it would be most appreciated.  This is a private event with no preregistration so Eventbrite shows 0 registrations.  We are currently sitting at 45 according to MCRGC.
