Son of Martha

Raise ye the stone or cleave the wood to make a path more fair or flat
Lo, it is black already with blood some Son of Martha spilled for that
Not as a ladder from earth to Heaven, nor as a witness to any creed
But simple service, simply given, to his own kind in their common need.

Appleseed was quite well represented at this event.
Militiaman1741 and his sons Eli and Micha and daughter, Bethany.
Cannonman61 and his son,Matthew.
Talon and his wife and daughter.

All were present and doing what they could to enlighten those who attended.

Never let it be said that an Appleseeder is a one dimensional man (or woman).

KDan. Look how much fun we were having! The reenactors had a live fire event at our local Appleseed friendly range the next day and took 4 new recruits through their school of the piece to qualify as artillerymen with the 2nd Georgia Arty.
Welcome aboard to my new recruits.

PS. During live fire it was discovered that a potato, fired from Grendel with a reduced 1oz load, will penetrate 3/4  plywood at 25 meters! :o

Artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Value added information from your friendly 2nd GA Southern Commander.

A natural, earth friendly,biodegradable projectile!  ;D

18th century Artillery gone "Green".  ::)

Where is Son of Martha when you need him?

Wow, that does look like fun...  muzzle awareness be damned! ;)

Just waiting for my kit and to find a musket and I'll be right out there with you guys.  Gonna take some doing to get the wife to come out, and forget the mopey teen-age daughter (I showed her the vid - she just turned and walked away without a word), but junior will be happy to arrange the teleportation of the Blue Power Ranger back in time to help out the good guys.  Seriously, the five-year-old is gonna loooove this!  Still talking about junior here - I'm forty.
