Korean war Sniper Shoot is happening next weekend January the 24th we will start at 10:00am with zeroing rifles. And depending on the light start at 12:00 shooting the course of fire. On stage two there will be a battle field pick up pistol (7 rounds)that you will have to hit two targets at 25 yards one shot in each target then move to your rifle to shoot the same course of fire that we will shoot in the prone position on the first stage. the targets will be small and some what difficult to hit with a scoped rifle. I'd like to see rifles used during or around the Korean war but any scoped rifle is welcomed. I'll have a 1903A4. Shooters will get a spotter to help them with finding and hitting the targets , so you must communicate with your spotter. If it's really cold we may have a burn barrel. Bring a friend and remember it's $20.00 per person. Round count will be about 60 rifle and what ever you want fire  after the shoot. Steve

Great weekend for the Korean war sniper shoot , the weather was not as cold as Korea at 40 with light rain for most of the day but close enough for me. we had around twenty on the line ,one of the largest turnouts for a field shoot in a long time.  We started out the first stage shooting prone with everybody in their comfort zone under the overhead cover. The 2nd stage was shooting a battle field pick up TT-33 (7.62x25) at steel targets then moving to the wall at the 25 yard line and shooting the course of fire. Some folks had trouble with the pistol ( odd grip angle) hitting the targets and others had problems getting stable on the wall. The pistol was there to make the shooter focus on something other than the rifle, most shooters did fine with this.  This is the standings with the score cards that I had. Phil shot a perfect score at 104. Thank you to all that supported this shoot and stayed after to help pick up targets.
This was a scoped event. If you took pictures please post them.
