We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Old Guy:  Do it long enough and you get really good at it.

Rifleman:  Sacramento:  Four Ought Nine
Full Distance:  Red Bluff:  What year was that?
Pistoleer™:  Hat Creek:  Three Twenty One

Make yourselves good scouts and good rifle shots in order to protect the women and children of your country if it should ever become necessary.

How can you tell that was  April 19, 2014 ?

The presence of the two red sports cars, which have only co-existed with the green Appleseed trailer on that singular weekend.  (3Huzzas and ScoutCamper)

At a couple of ranges I frequent we've worn the grass so well there's a permanent firing line that can be seen from space. Appleseed is making an impact!

That's an interesting range layout - there's a parking lot and another shooting bay directly behind the target berm of a rifle bay?  Don't believe I've ever seen that before.
Talk is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand.

Do or do not - there is no "try."'  -Yoda

Yep, what's back there is 'Cowboy Town' for the SASS types.  You can often hear them plinking away during the AS ceasefires.  It's a tall berm in between, and we're required to post targets all the way downrange against it.
"Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters." —Frederick Douglass

Unbridled Liberty

There is a private range in Kentucky where a public road is about 50 yards to the right of, and perpendicular to, the firing line.  The only thing between the rifles and the cars on the road is a guardrail.  I have not scheduled a shoot there in a couple years.

For Liberty, each Freeman Strives
As its a Gift of God
And for it willing yield their Lives
And Seal it with their Blood

Thrice happy they who thus resign
Into the peacefull Grave
Much better there, in Death Confin'd
Than a Surviving Slave

This Motto may adorn their Tombs,
(Let tyrants come and view)
"We rather seek these silent Rooms
Than live as Slaves to You"

Lemuel Haynes, 1775
