The campground WiFi is running as slow as molasses in January, so I will post a quick summary and add more later:

We had 10 shooters at the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club range near Lewiston, ID this weekend.  Out of those, 4 new riflemen and 1 riflewoman!   O0

And two new orange hats.  Welcome Kris and Jon V (Zippy)!   O0

And to top if off, baldsincebirth (John) received his well deserved Red Hat!   ^:)^

Huzzah!  Huzzah!  Huzzah!

Pix, stats, and stories to follow.

Congrats everyone  O0 Idaho has come a really long way in the last year. Lewiston used to have 3 shooters and an instructor from Washington would have to drive out to do it. So glad we have more instructors to cover Idaho  ^:)^ Welcome new Orange hats  ;)

We are back at home base after spending a vacation week on the road after the shoot.  Campground WiFi was somewhere between lousy and non-existent.  We will post up details and photos soon!   O0

If there's one thing that disrupts our place more than a shoot, it's a camping vacation.  So of course we did both together!  But the cameras are now downloaded, even if the house is a disaster.  All too few pix, I'm afraid, but we did catch some highlights.

Stephen was our Day 1 rifleman, and proved it was no fluke by shooting a score on almost every AQT of the weekend.

It's story time...

It seems the one time that instructors slow down long enough to take pix is ball & dummy...

Dan was first out of the gate on Sunday

Here's Carrie on the line...

...and here's the results.  Nothing better than a two rifle(wo)man family!

About this time previous Riflewoman Kris decided she needed a new hat.  Huzzah!  We put her right to work clearing the line.

Jon V had some issues with unfriendly fire early on, but put it together nicely and came in with the weekend's high score.  He also accepted an orange hat after the shoot - alas, I got no pix.

Matt was the final rifleman of the weekend.  Congrats, sir!

And finally, it was time to award John (baldsincebirth) his well-deserved Red Hat.  Huzzah!

The best shot we got of our Marine veteran, big John.  Thank you for joining us!

This is for our friends in Hoosier-land:  Bedford T makes it to northern Idaho!

While we were in town, we had to make a pilgrimage to Mecca the source of all awesomeness.  Unfortunately, there are no free samples or factory store, but we can report that the lights were on during the night shift.

All of our shooters showed marked improvement during the weekend, as shown by the Redcoat results, and some are at the 'knocking on the door' spot.  Get in some practice, and come on back and you'll have it.  Except for Mike - he already has the skills, he just has to learn to count...  :cool2:  :wb:

We enjoyed our visit to the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club and the Palouse area, and look forward to seeing both the instructors and shooters somewhere down the trail.

(There are a few more pix in the full album.
