OK people we HAVE to increase the Instructor Corps ranks in NY and PA. I have 6 people so far interested in attending and doing their part to further the program. With a 300 plus mile spread between the interested parties the logical location for the IBC would be in the southern tier area of NY. Perhaps we can talk Imker into allowing the use of his land for it. Any other location ideas? kDan has offered to help when and wherever. Time is running short unless we want some winter training as well. We may need to consider the intense 2 day course in light of the recent economic and employment strains that many of us are feeling, myself included.

The list so far....

Imker
lprgcfrank
Chainsaw
B964
U.S.Cavalryman
RogueRiver
KodyJaret

Who else is in?

Ed,

I was thinking of joining this range:

http://www.freedomarmory.com/

and after seeing your post about an indoor NY/PA Instructor Boot Camp it might be an option except it's pretty south on the PA/MD border but centrally located. It also have a 4 lane 50 yard indoor rifle range with a classroom big enough for 25 students. I can do some digging if you think it's an acceptable option.

What else is needed from a volunteer from PA? What todo's are unspoken for so far?

Looks like a good range to me.

There are several positions needing someone.

Is this location central enough for the indoor BC you want to do? If there is some agreement I'll make contact and see how to arrange it for the group.

I'm good at the PR role since I am one of those "dreaded professional salesman/sales managers"  so feel free to assign me to any or all of the following:

Gun show Special Assistant
Civic Group Liaison
Radio/Newspaper Contact Person
SAR/DAR contact person
4H/Boy Scout contact person

These would be right up my alley experience wise. I'm a natural networker  ;D

That location would work good for the PA people. Perhaps we should beat the bushes for more PA people to attend an IBC and have one there and one in NY. Boltgun71 has found a good central NY indoor range so taht would work out.

As far as the tasks you requested. They are yours for the taking. As others step forward we can reassign some of them.
Thanks for helping, your pay rate will rasied accordingly.
