May 17th and 18th 2014 bore witness to the first Appleseed on US Highway 20 in Nebraska. Just east of Chadron in Nebraska's beautiful pine ridge country we got 15 Americans to get off the couch. They came to drink from the firehouse of rifle marksmanship knowledge while being told the three strikes that started the American Revolution.

Although a little cool and windy in the mornings each day developed into near perfect conditions. Marty and Dottie Tobiasson provided us with use of their land. Pine Ridge Puma made his debut as shoot boss. Alex made the long overnight drive from North Dakota. Also joining us were state coordinator gibbs459, M1bzrk from Wyoming and Necede. Necede made a 450 plus mile drive just to come help.

Everyone plus one more shooter came back on for Sunday. That second day we made progress by awarding Rifleman patches to five Riflemen and one Riflewoman. This was a great start to what is hopefully one of many Appleseeds in northwest Nebraska.

Sounds like it was a great time had by all. I hope next time you have one in the AO I will be able to make it.
