This was another great Appleseed weekend at McMiller in Eagle, WI. The weather was wonderful (for a change) and the facilities were great. We'd like to thank McMiller for having us, and Racine County Line Rifle Club & Federal/CCI for providing ammo for all our youth shooters.

Twelve shooters; young, old, male, female novices, and experienced alike comprised the shooting line. My instructor team was outstanding!  My considerable gratitude goes out to Triggernick, Beck, Chewie, Laredo, Cinco, and Flying Ferret. O0 Down in the dirt working with shooters. Totally dedicated to helping the shooters improve, and improve they did. On Saturday alone we doubled the number of shooters effective at 200, 300, and 400 yards, including a six-fold increase in the number of shooters getting the bucket shot. Huzzah!

Jane scored Rifleman and chose a puprple patch, and Colecago (Jesse) was knocking at the door with a 201.  Jane also accepted a Blue Hat and we couldn't be happier to have her with us.

My thanks also go out to Sage, Seth, Garrett, and Connor for letting me work with them (and Chad too). Thanks also to Pete for taking some great photo's.

Too many stand-out moments to recount with this great group of shooters. I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. I want to see you all on the trail again and I look forward to awarding you your Rifleman badges.

What a great weekend!  I cant remember when we had such nice weather.

I had a great time working with all the shooters.  It was great to see how much everyone progressed.  Congrats to Jane for earning that patch.  To those that didn't score rifleman yet, stick with it.  The journey to rifleman takes persistence, patience, determination, grit and gristle.  Fortunately, these are all qualities of an American.  So, just keep coming back... and bring a friend.  :)

There is nothing more satisfying than spending a two days outdoors with friends and family.  A thanks goes out to my fellow instructors.  Every time I am with you I learn something new.

See you all again on the line...

Thanks to all the instructors for the great time.  My Dad said it was the best time he's ever had.

I was a little disappointed I didn't get expert after shooting 200 at the end of the first day, but my positions were a little soppy and I was exhausted on the second day.  I'l get my positions down and get it the next time, which might be at the end of July.  I'm going to try and bring a friend who wanted to come this last time.
